The price of construction material fell in 2009, according to CYSTAT data released on Friday. The Price Index of Construction Material dropped 3.54% compared to 2008.

The biggest drop of 16.78% was observed in the price metal products, while the price of electro-mechanical goods declined 3.01%. On the other hand, the price of mineral and their products and the timber, insulation, chemical and plastic goods recorded an increase.

In December 2009, the index decreased 2.01% compared to the corresponding months of 2008.
